Italy

While cities like Rome, Milan and Venice are expensive to live in, others like Naples and Bologna and Sicily enjoy a low cost of living. The average rental costs in low-cost cities is between $500 and $1200 dollars but it’s much cheaper in the suburbs. Utilities and rent cost around $100 – $220 per month, which is cheaper than in some U.S states. Some restaurants are cheap to eat out at but cooking at home, using public transportation and enjoying free activities can all help stretch your budget. One of the big draws of living in Mexico is that healthcare is much more affordable with private insurance ranging from $50 to $150 per month.
